Tucson Garden Railway Society - 10th Annual "Rails in the Garden" Tour

The 10th Annual "Rails in the Garden" Tour will be held on
Saturday and Sunday, March 2nd and 3rd, 2013.

All layouts are open both days from 10am until 4pm.

The Rails in the Garden Tour is a self-guided, driving tour of 10 garden railways plus the Toy Train Operators Museum. Tickets include maps and directions to each railroad. For 2013 there are two garden railways that are new on the tour, as well as your annual favorites. Many railways on the tour have been expanded or have added features/scenes for 2013. This year's layouts are located primarily on the west side of Tucson and you can visit all venues as often as you wish.

Each garden railroad displays a unique approach to the integration of gardening and model railroading. The diversity of the railroads and gardens promises to provide another interesting tour.

To celebrate our 10th tour, we are raffling a railroad themed quilt! All proceeds from the quilt raffle will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. See the "Quilt Raffle" page for more info.

We will again be collecting donations for the Community Food Bank. However, this year we will be collecting only monetary donations. A donation of money allows the Food Bank flexibility, and with each $1 donation they can purchase $9 in food! If you would like to make a donation to the Food Bank, there will be gift receptacles at each railroad.
